    and for me, that is on SECONDARY insurance, not primary. Primary, right now, is Medicare. Premera Blue Cross is supposed to pick up the 20% original Medicare doesn't cover. But there's that out of pocket, which we will certainly hit, given that a kidney transplant at the university hospital (not for profit) costs $181,000. Medicare will pay 80% of that without question, but what kinds of roadblocks will Blue Cross put up to get out of paying their share?

    You bet we're concerned. I needed this transplant but we are not made out of money.
