  •  Please tell me that this (6+ / 0-)

entire fiasco is screaming loudly and clearly and effectively to the Wisconsin populace in general (not just progressives and Dems) what the true, nefarious intentions of the GOP are.  Please tell me there is hope that people will stop voting to have themselves sacrificed so that the ultra-wealthy may prosper even more. (I live in Utah, which is hopeless and want to know that there is some hope for the rest of the country :) ).

    •  I was in a Milwaukee-area Target (6+ / 0-)

this morning and overheard part of a conversation between a couple (probably in their sixties) going something like this:

"She's not still supporting Walker, is she? What's wrong with her? She's a worker. She should know better."

Then their voices trailed off but what was fascinating to me is that this sort of political conversation is almost never heard here in public, not even during major election periods.

One thing anyone outside of Wisconsin needs to keep in mind is that what Walker and his thugs are doing goes way beyond ending collective bargaining. If they get their way, most people in this state will be negatively affected by their policies and many in quite personal ways. And once they understand how they're going to be screwed over, I think most will want Walker out -- even those who traditionally vote Republican.

This is why I believe we need to now focus on RECALL, RECALL, RECALL.
