not all of our Dem politicians are progressives and we have no voice, since the right owns all the media, including PBS and NPR. I heard Ira Glass defending NPR today, and he said that an analysis of NPR news would show that it was no more left wing than the traditional (corporate) media.  The sad thing is that he's right. I like "This American Life", but I hate "The News Hour". I don't think people are stupid, at least not everyone. I think people don't know what is true and what isn't because they NEVER hear the truth. The best they can get is "The News Hour" where they will hear a little bit of the truth and a lot of lies, but they don't hear any honest analysis of the facts. The media is blasting out propaganda or fluff 24/7. Everything we supposedly owned collectively has been stolen from us including our government.  I honestly don't know what we can do, legally. The highest court is the land is totally corrupt.  We don't have any recourse. I'm beginning to agree with Thoreau.

"They had fangs. They were biting people. They had this look in their eyes, totally cold, animal. I think they were young Republicans."
