people's medical catastrophes is more than an abuse of the free-market system; it is a crime against humanity.

Utility companies have a legal monopoly, but their rates are regulated.  Are you telling me that a pharma company has an exclusive right to sell a necessary medication, and can charge whatever it wants?  I could ask how do these pharma executives sleep at night, but I know they sleep soundly; they are heartless SOBs.

They sleep just fine at night...after a strenuous afternoon of golf...and a supper of fine dining, paid for by the company credit card.

Actually, they are rather removed from the impact of health situations, for starters.  Then, because of the work pharmaceutical companies do to research, produce and bring drugs to market (to ostensibly accomplish the dual goals of making money and providing relief from health issues) they view themselves as positively angelic.  Real honest to goodness angels of mercy is how they see themselves.

I always thought the one's I had the displeasure of knowing were overfed, pampered, snobs...playing in one of the most cut-throat industries out there.  And far to many of these captains of industry think they are Adonises.  For the record; not an Adonis in the mix.
