And for the most part, it's the recall people telling the general strike advocates to STFU as you can see on this thread.

But there are limited resources.  And I see the usual suspects playing the fund-raising game on DK, using the recall to raise money.  This after Lamont and Tester and Halter and all the rest.

Electoral politics is a pretty big and growing industry.  The consultants and the media all benefit.  And those who raise money for them benefit as well.

I'd rather see money raised for efforts that were not on the same old path of failure that's been tried for decades.

Failure for the people, that is, not for the politicians and their hangers-on who will benefit yet again.

telling you to STFU. I see people expressing skepticism about whether a general strike can be pulled off. That's not telling you to shut up.

Look, this is a site expressly dedicated to involvement in electoral politics. Maybe you think electoral politics are useless, but that is this site's mission.

Complaining here about organized attempts to use the electoral system seems like walking into an Italian restaurant to complain there's no Chinese food on the menu.

You've walked into a site that organizes around using the ballot box. It's hard to understand your gripe that we're attempting to use the ballot box to advance our aims.

And no, that's not telling you to STFU, just to make it clear.

    •  Let's face it. You suck as a leader (0+ / 0-)

You're being told to STFU because you are failing to motivate people to do what you wish.  Whining about the STFUs do not repeat do not turn a losing attempt at leadership into a successful one.

So instead of suffering a strwem of STFUs, why not for a little bit try doing it the STFUer way.  To procede, see instructions below.

At least then the people telling you to STFU will be GOPpers.

Stop. Stand up. Make a sign. Walk around in public. Be polite and orderly and the rest takes care of itself. Want to shake up the Plutocrats? Demonstrate your attention to politics.

The $ I'm aware of are being used to open storefronts and hire signature collectors in the recall Districts.

Longtime dkos folks are running the offices in the 10th.
