I've never seen it but in Berlin there are signs in the Schöenberg District commemorating the series of anti-Jewish laws passed by the Nazis. The display is called "Places of Remembrance". The signs are simple symbols like a milk jug or It started with some seemingly odd and innocuous restrictions. There were over 400 different laws or proclamations made by the Hitler government against jews and more than 80 signs are represented throughout the formerly vibrant Jewish neighborhood.

Jews expelled from choir clubs - 8/16/33

Jewish actors and actresses prohibited from performing - 3/5/34

Hiking of Jewish youth groups consisting of more than twenty persons prohibited - 7/10/35

Journalists to prove Aryan ancestry going back to 1800 - 4/15/36

Postal clerks married to Jewish women must leave job - 6/18/37

"Night of Shattered Glass" (Kristallnacht). Thousands of Jews placed in concentration camps. - 11/9/1938

    It starts slowly.
