    As soon as one has any form of 'complication' (salaried but with side business; household employee (maid/such); etc ...), the tax code becomes oppressive very quickly.  I've long said that I'd be quite happy to see my actual paid taxes go up a few percent if the time that I had to spend on the tax code and thinking about it would go down (and perhaps disappear).

    Sadly, what he is arguing for is to give a good (less complicated taxes) while giving away the goods (defunding the U.S. government).
