  •  My main concern with this (5+ / 0-)

    is that we really don't want states making individual immigration laws.  That really is a federal responsibility.  I will grant that the Utah law is more humane than Arizona's but I hope that the feds win their case against Arizona and that immigration law remains a federal mandate.

    We need comprehensive immigration reform, but this should be for the whole country.

      indicated that yesterday AZ voted down five of the additional anti immigrant legislation that Pearce proposed, including the ones about schools and hospitals acting as grassers to ICE using information they were required by those laws to collect about the immigration status of those they officially encountered.
