  •  It isn't democracy but a dictatorship because (8+ / 0-)

    people have abdicated their responsibility.

People scream about rights, taxes etc but do not do their civic duty. This is what happens.

    W. said a dictator ship is ok as long as he is the dictator, and now we have a bunch of dictators "elected" because people didn't vote.

Evil in America is brought to you by the radical Rethugs and their corporate masters. Gives new meaning to the word "company town", corporate rule and corporate governance. They own us now.

    Sigh!

John Kasich, R-OH-gov hates black people, women, children, and unions, I guess that covers almost everyone.

...GOP actions would even be tolerated are places like Saddam Hussein's Iraq, the former Soviet Union, North Korea, and (I could care less what the mainstream media "village" thinks about me using this example) Hitler's Germany. This is as un-American as un-American gets, and I demand it gets thrown out and those who are pushing these things be thrown out of office ASAP.

Every time I see a post horrified at Teabaggers and decrying their authoritarian moves, my reaction is "Meh." This is what Americans voted for; this is what we get. The sickness is in the society; the politicians are just the symptoms.

And maybe it's because "people didn't vote," but the flipside of that is that people did vote. The authoritarian mood can be seen at the municipal, state, and federal levels. It's dominating at every level, save the White House and theoretically the U.S. Senate, and even then the prevailing craven strategy seems to be "Move right--just a tad this side of the Teabaggers."

Until the collective psyche decides it's trashed the Constitution and the idea of a meritocracy enough, we're all eating this big shit sandwich.

anger growing on the ground and . . . wah-lah . . . Teabaggers. The Democrats were so busy being Republican Lite and chasing corporate money that they lost their hallmark trait of knowing what was going on on the ground.

One of the best thoughts out of the WI protest was from a Teabagger. A vet said to someone something like, "I wish they would quit bashing Teabaggers. I'm a Teabagger, I just didn't know I was YOUR kind of Teabagger. Where were you last year?"

This movement will be all for not unless the Dems hear this message and represent this anger. That is why they demonize Pelosi, she's vocal and has the clout to get a message out.

Michigan has to take to the streets and internet. 300,000 signatures is VERY doable with the proper organization.
