    ...but it might require a return to guerilla tactics like those practiced by the Jane Collective in the late '60s.

    However, there is one thing that we have over the period in which Jane operated: Cytotec. It's very similar chemically to RU-486, and has been used off-label in Latin American countries to induce abortion. It seems to be quite effective and reasonably safe.

    Women will have abortions whether they are legal or illegal. The experience of women in Latin America proves this.

    A recriminalization of abortion will lead to a nightmare like our sisters in Central and South America experience.

    Health care should not be a privilege for the few, but a human right for all.

      I had a couple of friends who were part of it for a while.  They weren't in the group that got busted.  I appreciate the link to the Chicago Women's Liberation Union website also.  

      Mifepristone (RU-486) is used in combination with misoprotol (Cytotec) for a non-surgical abortion.  I have no doubt that a black market for Cytotec will arise if the panty-sniffers in the U.S. Congress get their way.  To any women of childbearing years, I say, "Republicans hate you."
