    But I do think that at least here in America a sense of entitlement is part of the resistance to any change. Maybe I am just too cynical on this.

      The question is just what it will take for folks here to realize that some humble pie will be very healthy for them, or at least that they simply can't continue to live so high on the hog. $10 gas? A Japan-style earthquake? Economic collapse? I don't know, but I feel that if we keep pointing out the many positives about living more ecologically balanced -- better health, more time, better community, less stress, less pollution, etc -- people might come around voluntarily before the shit hits the fan completely. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one! ;-)
