lack of frequency that diaries on these topics are published, the lack of those diaries on the rec list, the lack of comments in those diaries, the lack of FP posts, or some combination of those? Or something I haven't mentioned? I ask b/c I'm genuinely curious.

I am so interested in US actions in the world and so grateful when diaries such as this are published. I have always had a sort of survival guilt based on the luck of the geography of my birth and I feel like the very least I can do is be in witness to what's being done by my country, with my tax $$'s, if not with my permission. Sometimes I can't take in all the horror, but I come to places like this in part to help me feel not so alone while I'm keeping something in my awareness that is painful, gut wrenching and about which I have very little power to affect.

We are here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness.
