      these are baby steps in the wrong direction. And they're not even baby steps - they're giant, leaping strides taking us further away from single-payer. This bill strengthens and entrenches the private, for-profit insurance industry.

        It's not what I wanted either. I truly feel that we must first establish in the minds of the population that health care is a human right. Improvements will come later.

        Private industry won't be able to make a profit, and the NON-Profits will eventually take over.  It won't happen overnight, will probably take some kind of crisis (like an epidemic, for example) to bankrupt the suckers and people will realize we need a better approach.

        I'm satisfied with a foot-in-the-door, at this point.

          If Nuke Power is still on the table, IMHO, it requires the government to provide access to adequate health care to manage the statistics it produces.
