And they are still trying to keep it "behind the scenes". Until recently you didn't see any pundits, commentarians, columnists, talking heads going after her in large numbers. The most of them are still keeping their focus on policies and Dems. It is only recently that Palin, Paul Jr. and tea partiers have gotten so threatening that they've had to get more overt in their criticism. And yes, it's intriguing to watch it since it's so out of character with their tight message precision for the last forty years or so. That doesn't mean we should be emulating their schism.

of your comment.  As for the last line of your comment, I don't think I said anything about emulating their schism.  My comment was in support of what Gooserock pointed out when he said this:

      They Attack Their Leadership Ruthlessly
which is how their leadership has migrated from conservative to quasi fascist over the past 40 years. They've been purging leadership for a long time.

I agree with that.  The Republican Party didn't just suddenly become ultra-right---it was the pushing and shoving from within it that pushed them to the point where they are right now--"quasi-fascist".

Objecting to our governor’s policies does not make a citizen of Wisconsin a criminal. Not yet, anyway. ~ nelangst
