to believe that neither is accomplishing anything useful, much less actually dealing with pressing problems like climate, education, or even the deficit.

But I think where liberals lose is they say the parties are the same, stay home on election day, then a Republican gets elected, and proves how different the parties are. We have seen it with George Bush and now with Scott Walker.

that liberals stayed home. Walker only won by 2%-3%, and the difference was swing voters. Gore won his election and Kerry was just a poor candidate with a worse campaign staff, and still came close.

It's never the voters' fault, regardless of their ideology, when a candidate loses, any more than you can blame Pittsburgh's Super Bowl loss on their fans. Would you blame Kerry's or Dukakis' or Mondale's loss on liberals?

blame liberals for Walker's election. It just seems odd to hear liberals say they will stay home and sit out an election, then see them outraged when the Republican who gets elected does something they dont like. Liberals seem to have lousy timing: they are depressed around the time of the election, when you can actually keep the GOP out of office, but then they are fired up when the Republican does something we dont like, but when it is probably too late to change anything or at least harder to change things(as we saw with Walker and the anti-union bill).
