  •  Not Empirical Proof (0+ / 0-)

in the scientific sense; there is no demonstration that  Conservatism is the cause of any of the things you listed. We all know that it is, though.

This is CLASS WAR, and the other side is winning.

    •  You're suggesting Hume's problem of induction (0+ / 0-)

And, I should note, that what all this data does license is an inference to the best explanation.  So, this is empirical proof.

Right-wing ideology comes into play in states that have large differences between rich and poor which, in turn, breeds a sense of isolation and alienation which, in turn, creates more stress which, in turn, creates more reliance on the lower brain emotions that lead to hostility and tribalism.

One reason, in my view, that the oligarchs want to pauperize the United States is that it will most likely result in more right-wing support and therefore movement towards absolute feudal rights of the families associated with the corporate oligarchy.

leads to poor people.  Perhaps too simple, but plausible nonetheless.

...financial investment as moral investment. I think the idea of an informed citizenry using reason to evaluate public policies is dead in much of the country. I think that right-wing ideology is profoundly anti-western and anti-humanistic and values only the development of the lower brain--thus making education itself suspect. I've listened to and rad right-wing thought over the past few decades and it has become so radically degraded in recent years that it is stunning. The current dominant group literally wants to lynch western civilization from science to literature to art and to reason itself.

This movement is funded by oligarchs who are happy to degrade this country so they can feed off of the still abundant treasure within it.
