    "Calvinism on steroids" = "Dominionism"

Dominion theology is predicated upon three basic beliefs: 1) Satan usurped man’s dominion over the earth through the temptation of Adam and Eve; 2) The Church is God’s instrument to take dominion back from Satan; 3) Jesus cannot or will not return until the Church has taken dominion by gaining control of the earth’s governmental and social institutions.

Many of these new GOP evangelicals are Dominionists, icluding Palin, and Beck frequently spouts off some Dominionist BS, including the "Seven The "Seven Mountains Mandate":

The "Seven Mountains Mandate" of Christian dominionist theology entails Lance Wallnau's plan for taking over the cultural spheres of (1) the home, (2) the church, (3) civil government / law / military, (4) business / technology, (5) education, (6) media, and finally (7) arts / entertainment / professional sports to unleash a Christian "kingdom" that prepares the way for Christ's return.

The reason they are going after "Sharia and all forms of international law" at this point is because it must all be "God's" law.  The reason they want to put "In God We Trust" on all public buildings is so that they will be "God's" buildings.  And the reason they want this, is that once God has marked all his territory they will all be sucked up into heaven, leaving behind the steaming sh*thole they created for the rest of us "unbelievers" to suffer upon.

These people are nuts, and need to be shoved back into the closet shrine where they belong and never near the levers of government, ever, ever again.
