to aid in a humanitarian crisis, specifically one involving stopping a potential genocide, is not necessarily the same thing. The President has defined the narrow scope of his actions. He has also said that on Wednesday the oporation in Lybia will be taken over and be lead by NATO. I don't see this as an act of "declaring war".  In simple terms, he is simply restraining the school yard bully from beating up or killing the little guy. In this case, hundreds of thousands of little guys....

Was Obama looking at a bigger picture? Did he see that we owned France "one" for their support in Afghanistan?
(France gets their oil from Lybia).

It may be a humanitarian crisis but how do the rebels feel about America? They did show signs of appreciation.

This is a good democratic exercise. We didn't get this under Bush. All those who tried to question his war in Iraq were told they were traitors.

I might not agree with everyone but please keep up the demand for a president to come to Congress for approval. It still matters.

Are we going to help out other countries? Good question.
