It is time, fellow activists, to take voice recorders or video recorders into your local evangelical Christian churches every Sunday for a while to find out what we need to know to mount a challenge to the tax-exempt status of these right-wing organizational bodies.

We'd be out of this "fiscal crisis" overnight if the churches started paying taxes on their property and profits. If they want to maintain their current status, they need to stop the politicking from the pulpit. Simple as that.

Record politicking from the shouldn't be hard in the churches where it's a regular occurrance, like the one my mother-in-law attends. If you can stomach sitting through a smiling web of lies for an hour, a collection of such recordings would prove invaluable to challenging their status.

I'm sick of the 80 percent Christian majority in this country acting like the victims while they steamroll those of us whose policies would far more closely align with the teachings of the nominal object of their worship with their twisted Christianist fascist impulses.

In general, instead of being attacked, it's time for the left to go on the offensive. We've been defending views that need no defense, not in a moral America, and now it's time to make them defend their un-American, un-Christian, immoral and deeply hypocritical line of attack on America's core values.
