I'm 56 1/2.  I know the feelings; I don't have a family here in Missouri either.  My S.O. is in poor health and sleeps 16+ hours/day, so I'm alone a lot also.  I love to garden.  I have basil, chives, pak choi, brocoli, lettuce, radishes, tomatos and peppers started and lots more seeds to plant.  I have peach trees, cherry trees, apple trees, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and hardy kiwi planted.   I'm not preaching to anyone since I'm not a saint or preacher.  Just trying to get by and friends usually help.  I don't drink much except homemade wine which I brew once in a while.  Drinking too much would kill my liver for sure.  Be careful and keep writing.

      yes.

I need a lover. This started out as a political blog. I like the filter.

      The bottle, surrogate lover.

I need a lover. I need to help to change whatever.

Your comment is awesome. Love to you for that.

      I think I need a guy, though.

It's sort of embarrassing to be roaming around Daily Kos thinking maybe a boyfriend? I mean, this is supposed to be about politics?

I seriously need to get laid, and what am I to be rumbling around this blog writing about that?

This country is in such sad shape about working out sex.

      Head meets wall.

      just sayin'

I'll be 56 in August. Love to garden, love to drink (but have learned to do it in moderation and only a couple times a week). Mr. Marleycat went through a stage when he slept 16+ hours a day, too. Tried antidepressants which helped minimally, then discovered he was ADD all these years. I know there's controversy over ADD drugs, but they changed our lives so much for the better. He's living life much more fully, now.

Ladypockt, I'd be interested in your recipes for homemade wine.  I grow peaches and blackberries - and just put in a strawberry bed and a rhubarb bed.  I've never heard of strawberry-rhubarb wine, but would love to give it a try. Oh, and we have a wild persimmon grove in the back yard.
