  •  They don't just make facts up ... (13+ / 0-)

They have "think" tanks to make facts up for them. And the media NEVER questions them when they cite the Fairytale ... er ... Heritage Foundation. Liberals don't even need fake think tanks, as what we say is usually based on fact. The problem? We hide our facts on the Sunday shows, while the GOP trots out their fiction and dares us to do something about it (which we almost never do).

    •  Agreed. but the dems need to be pointing this out (6+ / 0-)

much like the republicans would have been hammering it over and over again.

Imagine if it were a democrat in charge when the crash happened, the republicans would have made him/her public enemy #1.... meanwhile the dems "compromise"

this is known as the Gish gallop, after a well-known antievolutionist.

No scientist (or real economist I suppose), dealing with facts and evidence, can possibly counter the plethora of fiction and outright lies that can be quickly tossed into the midst of a debate by the dishonest. They can and do make up anything to support their conceptualizations; no facts are necessary.
