    Had the Pope traveled to Iraq, there is no way the Iraq War would have happened.  If he would have been younger and healthier, maybe he would have gone.

    But the Pope is just one example of an opponent of this war that wasn't a "hippie".

    I think we should tighten the screws a bit.  "Mr. Gibbons?  I have a question.  The Pope was against this war.  Does the Pope wear Birkenstocks?  Does the People wear a tie-died robe?  What movies has the Pope been in?  What record deals has he cut?"

      The idea of the Pope in birkenstocks and tie-dye smacks of the movie Dogma and Catholicism Wow!

      Anyway, it's a valid point. These guys quickly go "Liberals hate war!" The only logical response is "Well, what about this guy..and this guy..and this guy..and this guy..are they liberals now, because liberals hate war?"

      Cue sound of fish lips smacking in an attempt to breathe.
