it seemed possible that this hadn't been dealt with in Ryan's piece of paper or, if it had been, the answers would provoke rioting in the streets.  I think every Gooper should get asked  'cause I don't think there're any good answers.  In other words, the Dems may be able to use this as a weapon.

As always, ready to concede I might be wrong.

and correct to raise these concerns.  But just realize that it isn't actually a serious plan and when actually try to analyze it at that level of detail and make sense of it, the craziness of it is self evident.  That's because getting to a workable system isn't the goal.  Destroying Medicare is the goal.  It always has been with this crowd.  Ever since it was enacted.  Hell ever since it was contemplated.

Consider the investment that people 54 years old now have in the system.   Are they going to cut checks?  It's insane.

      •  I guess the last question (1+ / 0-)

answers itself doesn't it?  They are going to cut you some checks and wash their hands of you.  It will be up to the mercy of the Insurance Industry to determine if you will get coverage with what they decide to give you.

      •  I'm pretty sure you're right that the "plan" (0+ / 0-)

is nonsensical.  It's for that reason I think it would behoove the Dems to ask pointed questions about it and keep asking.  Just because political junkies know what it does not mean that the average American will.  It has to be hammered into the minds of people juggling their jobs, their bills, their kids and therefore too busy to give it a lot of attention.
