  •  Well- you are admitting that Headstart's mixed (0+ / 0-)

outcomes. If the advantages disappear by the 2nd grade, then I guess it's open to interpretation whether you can call it a failure or a success.

I generally avoid Mallard Fillmore because of its mean spiritedness. But it is occasionally funny, and it's not as fantasy based a a lot of other right wing critique tend to be.

    •  The question is not whether Head Start is failing. (0+ / 0-)

It's more about what happens after Head Start. How are schools failing kids? How are parents failing kids? According to the Impact Study, Head Start is helping pre-schoolers. Rather than dismantling Head Start because schools aren't maintaining the gains of the program, we need to see what's happening in schools that makes those gains go away.

...while drawing unflattering caricatures of them is not humor. It's just schoolyard taunting.

Trudeau may be guilty of the former, when he draws dialog coming from unseen voices in The White House... but it always builds, like a good joke, toward a punch line in the last panel.

Tinsley's portrayals of liberals do nothing but invoke a juvenile, ROTFLMAO, "told you so" response from his emotionally arrested fans.

      Have you noticed?
      Politicians who promise LESS government
      only deliver BAD government.
