  •  FUCK YOU. Have a donut (6+ / 0-)
I'm sorry, but the only anyone opts for surgery is because of a lack of self-control. They could lose weight, but chooses not to do it the natural way.

Sorry, but you're full of shit. Have a donut.  Many of the people who resort to surgury do so because of other issues:  thyroid or other hormonal issues;  disabitating hard conditions that make them gain weight on a scarce diet; genetic differences that "average" people don't have.

    To just through out, "it

    MUST
be because you have no self-control" is insulting to those suffering from these conditions.  HR'd for your cruelity to these people.

thyroid or hormonal issues? If people are already eating a scarce diet how will bypass help?

    •  Sorry, but that is HR abuse (0+ / 0-)

I am not cruel, just pointing our reality.
ANYONE can lose weight on the proper diet.
As a matter of fact, The Zone diet balances hormones. It makes you fell like a million bucks. it's satisfying and contains the proper ratio of carbs/protein/fat.

Look, I've struggled with eight too. I've been up and down. But I am honest enough with myself to know that my weight is MY fault. I know my current lack of exercise is also a factor.

If the modern diet isn't to blame for our obesity problem then what explains that our parents and grandparents weren't fat - or that most people before the past 20-30 years didn't struggle with obesity? What explains the fact that a starving human is thin?

I'm sorry you feel as you do. It never ceases to amaze me how touchy people get when they might have to acknowledge that they might have something to do with their health.

And the donut is totally uncalled for. But, whatever.
