  •  We are supposed to search for the Light (16+ / 0-)

in the face of each one we meet, yet I cannot find it in the faces of those who would destroy the future of our children. I see only evil. Is my faith not strong enough? What next? How to proceed?

    •  Your faith seems strong enough that (3+ / 0-)

you know evil when you see it. That is a positive. The many, many people
who are too oblivious or ideological or lazy to see the evil that is before us all are compounding that evil.

I'm not sure that one can continue to seek light where there is none and hope to remain sane. There are people out there who have let greed make them
into monsters that really do not care one bit about their fellow man. This is a fact.

It is always the kind of heart who suffer over this. The ones who are behaving heartlessly do not feel a thing. Therein lies the tragedy. Be kind to yourself, please.   :-)

    •  In my view, the evil in their faces is secondary (0+ / 0-)

The evil that attacks us, that attacks our faith, that attacks our strong and serene belief in the Light, is the one to worry about.  Without that, we can do nothing.

This is their most useful weapon against humanity.  I think we have to respond to the evil working against us with a quiet, firm and perpetual "No".   When evil would have you see only evil in their faces, say "No".  The Light is there.
