    I was there holding his hand, telling him I loved him.

    I'm very sorry for your loss.

    I'm glad, though, that you could help his last hours be as peaceful as possible.

    If you're like me, you'll find that the fuss dies down and when you're ready to talk about your loss, everyone else will expect you to be "over it".
