  •  Congresswoman Baldwin has called... (14+ / 0-)

...fior a federal investigation. She wrote a letter to Eric Holder. I haven't seen anything about a response.

The Government Accountability Board  (the elections board in Wisconsin) is "investigating", if you can call it that. They are responsible for making sure county clerks are trained properly in election procedures. Guess they missed one.

After the GAB certifies the election, the losing candidate has 3 days to request a recount. I imagine it will happen, at least in Waukesha County. I think the whole state should be recounted.

it is hereby DECLARED that 2011 Wisconsin Act 10 has not been published within the meaning of Wis. Stats. §§ 991.11, 35.095(1)(b) and 35.095(3)(b), and is therefore not in effect.

    •  The AP reported that they're reviewing the request (10+ / 0-)

They acknowledged Tammy Baldwin's letter. This is actually positive in the sense that the DOJ generally doesn't acknowledge much of anything. I wouldn't expect the DOJ to acknowledge that they've started an investigation.

Iirc, a WI watchdog group also sent a request to the DOJ. Baldwin's letter has much more clout, obviously.

As odd as it is, the real fraud may be elsewhere, like an systematic  "accidental" undercount of a couple of thousand Democratic votes in a lot of counties.
I say this because I once went to the old highschool in LA where the election records are stored and  tried to go over the vote totals for Bob Dornan's district in Garden City Ca.
There I kept  coming up with more votes than the sum of voters that signed the poll books and the number of absentees, but I was stymied because it was explained to me that the vote counting software was proprietary and each school district would have a different ballot etc. which made vote counting "very complicated and difficult" and this was somehow supposed to explain how an election could be legit with more votes than voters.
It sounded fishy then, and it sounds fishy now.
