  •  Last year half the houses in my (10+ / 0-)

neighborhood lost roofs (as in...they were in my back yard).  I just had hail damage.

See the hail videos above?  Same storm that we got hit with.

If the political climate wasn't so friendly to liberals in Oklahoma, I'd move.  :)

    •  I remember the last big hail storm in NC. (5+ / 0-)

I was on the phone with a business associate when I watched as huge hail came down on my car in the parking lot.  I'm talking about major denting.  I was crying into the phone.

Talked with a friend in the auto insurance business and he told me that they had claims where the hail was so big and strong that it went right through the hood of the car and into the engine area.  That was some powerful storm.

You people in the area be careful out there!

It's after 10 pm now. We had a brief, fairly light rain in midtown this evening, that's all.

But, we've had so much wind for the last several days, it's actually become unpleasant to go outside even though the temperatures have been moderate.

I spoke with a young man getting on his bicycle outside a convenience store this afternoon, telling him not to let the wind blow him over.  I was kidding, but he said that it almost had -- twice.

All in all, it was nothing to those of us used to life here in tornado alley.
