is also burried in Other Expenses,  something else I've got on my list to dig out.

I know that the 'financial assets' purchased by the Fed, have contributed roughly $1 Trillion to our current capped debt.

It's like the information is there , or almost there, just not in any form easily useable to reveal the truth.

One excercise I want to do is use 2007 expenses and revenue, trend both forwards using the average for both (as calculated by the CBO) and compare the total of both through 2013 to what was actually produced.

It will not be possible to account for all differences, but by using examples of increases in cost in certain programs clearly related to the recession I think we can come up with a number tht can be used to illustrate what portion of the current debt  (and annual deficits) is attributable to the recession.

We have to reduce it down like I did with the $ 1 Trillion, to a number that is easy to remember and use.

We'd rather dream the American Dream than fight to live it or to give it to our kids. What a shame. What an awful, awful shame.
