    I need to re-read it, and check out some of your links.

    I wish that we could move our society in the direction of smaller homes, smaller cars, more locally grown food, more, but smaller, manufacturing entities with progressive personnel and pay policies.  

    That's my dream.  I see it as being easier on the environment, and providing better lives for people so that they aren't bankrupting themselves chasing after foreign-made material goods that they'll be tossing out in a year or so.

    Unfortunately, the power of corporate money, with the collusion of politicians from both political parties, has brought us to the point where we have to be focused on preserving the social safety net and basics like food and shelter for our fellow citizens.  

    We have a lot of work ahead of us... and some of it involves waking people up to what is being done to them, and how they can begin to change it.
