  •  We'll all be millionaires (none)
Bush has just given me a great idea. Raise the minimum wage and require people to invest the increase. Then tax the earnings on the investment. As each portfolio grows, the individual gets richer and the government gets more money without raising the tax rate. In a few generations everyone will be a millionaire and all taxes other than capital gains can be eliminated.

Bush could also require all governmental departments to invest 10% of their budget into a portfolio. In a few generations we won't need taxes at all. A new step in ownership. Government must invest money in such a way that it has its own private account and doesn't need to rely on being supported by the rest of us.

    •  i always was under the assumption (none)
that we already were the owner of the government.  so what society do i belong in?  i always thought we were the ones who owned the government when ti came to our welfare. where is my welfare in this society?  my goodness, ppl, we are the oweners of this government.  we have let the government frame our thoughts as well as how we speak to others.  this government is ours not just the republicans. if this is the premice, then why are we left out in the cold if the constitution is what we needed to have before we declare our right to be free.....and a democracy.  look at how the republicans who think they ahve the power nowadays, they forget they are just 1/2 of the equation....if that much at all.
