    I think the fact that the his first act after dismissing the local government was to instantly install his hand-picked replacements for some of the folks on the Planning Commission and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority is a crucial piece. It shows that this isn't about getting the town's finances in order. It's about getting at that sweet, sweet Lake Michigan frontage.

      Was the whole purpose of the financial martial law bill just to set up this project? Or, was the purpose broader, and it just so happens to work out for the bill's author in this way?
