    But, certainly not all of it - I agree.

    Which is why I feel that layers of entertainment that can be had from the same work is what makes books such as this more interesting.  Some of the references have been above my head/experience, and I've need to search for perspectives from those who knew more of what was being brought into the storylines.

    I've seen truly pornographic cartoons and/or pictures since well before 11 years old, and they made increasing sense over the years from a literal (and, in some cases, literary) aspect of things - but, the symbolism of such things hasn't really changed to me.

    This work is best for Mature readers, but I don't see an 11 year-old being corrupted by this - the titillation that is shown isn't graphic and takes much reading to understand and you really can't miss the voluminous and well-placed text, I feel.  A curious mind would hopefully read the story almost as much as viewing the artful + some "dirty" pictures.

    If this was an explicitly pornographic work without much other intent, I wouldn't expect that to be available in the library.
