    It has nothing to do with geography.  Red states are red simply because there are more uneducated people there than elsewhere, but such people exist in great numbers everywhere.  Even though I did rec this because I like the crowbar-to-head subtlety of the delivery, I wish that you had framed it differently. There isn't anything to be gained from buying into the false division of the country into two factions that can be used to neutralize everyone's voting power.

      enjoyed the calling-out of the willfully ignorant serfs with voting power but...like mestral wrote

      Divide and conquer, oldest trick in the book. Most of us aren't fooled by it.

      people vote Democratic than Republican.  It could make you feel good about yourself to think Democrats all have good educations and Republicans don't, but people with "some college" and a bachelor's degree are the most likely to vote Republican.  Those who have done postgraduate studies and those without even a high school diploma are the most likely to vote Democratic.

      •  education != bachelors (0+ / 0-)

        I said educated, I did not say "in possession of a 4 year college degree".   Not the same thing.   Those who get most of their "news" from watching Fox are typically poorly informed about the issues they are voting on.
