    Though I think this is a necessary tactic to hold individuals to a higher standard, why Greenspan?  His term is almost expired, and the damage is done.  Why not expend energy on his eventual replacement?  Or on a current target, such as judicial nominees?

      We have more resources than we can use. We don't need to pull our team off Gannongate to investigate Greenspan, another team will form around any investigation we launch that can garner enthusiasm.

      It's the application of Free Software practice to politics. As with Free Software, there are more readers (users, in the case of Free Software) than posters (developers).

      Peer review will serve nicely to refine the dross out of the mix.
