  •  One issue is that there are fewer good places in (15+ / 0-)

    the summer around here.  We're the opposite of much of the rest of the country - winter is more interesting than summer in many ways.  (Spring and fall are good pretty much everywhere.)  There are some birds like the grosbeaks, orioles, buntings and flycatchers who disappear in winter, so it's nice to have them back for the summer.  But we get a lot of birds wintering here from elsewhere, so both numbers and diversity are usually better in the colder wetter months.

    There are a few good summer spots, though, so maybe we can figure something out.

    They only call it Class War when we fight back.
