    that was indeed snark. In reality, I was (and still am) a reluctant supporter of TARP. My disappointment with Obama there isn't over TARP, but over the failure to prosecute. And that's another subject where I don't remember him making any promises; yet it should be part of the job description for any president.

    There are many things for which Obama deserves criticism, but most of them are not scandals, as that blogger would suggest. They're policy disagreements. Many of them are defensible as legitimate, if imperfect, political choices. And there are at least a few on that list ("213. Lieberman and Amazon.com seek to censor wikileaks") where the tie to Obama is tenuous at best.

    Let us all have the strength to see the humanity in our enemies, and the courage to let them see the humanity in ourselves.
