So let me get this straight: you're defending a double standard whereby incitement of lust against children is banned, but incitement of murder is OK?

As for "unconstitutional," amend it.  There now.

    •  Good luck amending it. (4+ / 0-)

There's no double standard here because you're committing a basic fallacy (equivocation) in your use of "incitement".  Or would you care to point to studies that show an inherent link between burning of Qur'ans and murder?

Glenn Beck & his pals: stochastic terrorism, thirty repetitions of the rants unleashed the lone wolves to do the deeds.  Three dead cops, four wounded cops, one dead churchgoer in TN.

Most of the hate crimes out there, plenty of murders to go around.  The time delay between input and impact is no more meaningful than the time delay between your order and your meal at the restaurant, and you can't define "restaurant" to require 5 minute service or only McD's and Taco Bell would qualify.

Do you want to be the one to tell the victims' families, "too bad, so sad, but free speech for monsters is more important than your loved one's life"....?

odious to drag out the bodies of victims in defense of a political policy that, frankly, they may not have agreed with. But your mileage may vary.

But let's through down a gauntlet here: should images of Muhammad be legally banned by U.S. law?  We have sufficient examples of how production of these images has led to violent protest, death threats, and many more deaths than Jones can claim.  For consistency's sake, would you ban those images entirely?
