  •  ?? You really think most Americans care whether (6+ / 0-)

it's Dems or rethugs that strip away their rights?  Whether there are huge protests won't be dependent upon it having been done by Dems rather than rethugs.  It'll be dependent upon how much media attention is given to it, how many people are directly affected by it, how angry they are about it.

The huge protests in Wisconsin occurred because Walker so far over reached and has been lying about it ever since.  The law there didn't just affect health care; it was the she-bang.

People might, unfortunately, be willing to sigh and accept that they'll be stuck paying higher amounts here and there, without having any say about it;  much more likely than to accept being stripped of all their rights.

That's how they've been dismantling workers' rights for decades now.  A little slice at a time.  And people sighed and accepted it time and again.  Their accepting it yet again won't be evidence of anything other than the incremental approach generally has fewer repercussions than the shock approach.

There wasn't a ton of media given to Wisconsin, until the protests started.  Even then it was ignored, until it went into weeks of duration.

Pre-qualifying excuses for a lack of massive protests in Massachusets is weak.

The difference in Wisconsin and Mass. is that in Mass. the Democrats did this.  That's it.  That's the difference.

Now let's see how the Left reacts.  Let's taste the hypocrisy if they let this go with sternly worded letters.

      •  LOL. Selective facticization. If that's all (0+ / 0-)

you have going for yourself, you better hold onto it.  If you ignore the facts you don't like, they'll just go away, I'm sure.

I should have found that predictable.  Around here you can ALWAYS count on someone making excuses for Democrats doing what Republican's would like to do.

with selective facticization.  You're sticking right with the rethug process.

I've never remotely made an attempt to excuse the cowardly acts of the Dems who voted for this piece of shit legislation.  Nor has anyone else on this site.

I've simply refused to accept your piece of shit false equivilency I rejected, pointing out facts you prefer to ignore.  It will be up to the PEOPLE on whether they get out and stand up together against this piece of shit.  It's not like the Dems forced the hundreds of thousands of protesters in Wisconsin.  The people managed to do that all by their little selves.

I think you are having an argument with someone else.  Or your reading comprehension skills are a bit low.  One or the other.

It's not like the Dems forced the hundreds of thousands of protesters in Wisconsin.

I never claimed the Democrats got the Wisconsin or Ohio protests going.  Never.  Why?  Because they didn't.  The party followed the people, the voters, those who are known as "activists".  Because they act.

Now, what I DID say is that i want to see if all the activists who DID the work of getting the protests in Wisconsin (and Ohio, etc) going will do the same now that similar attacks on labor have been performed in Mass. by Democrats.

If not, well, there you go.  A nice pile of steaming hypocrisy.
