    did you hear, that apparently a date has been set for the trial of Lay, Skilling, and CAO Richard Causey. Jan 17, 2006 I believe. Hmm, wonder why the media doesnt hype that? The prosecution seems to be building a solid case, getting guys like Fastow to testify and all. We'll see.  Plus, I hope Dems can point to that trial and say: "See, now, that's why you dont invest SS in the stock market."

      keeps unpleasant reminders of the Texas-Enron ethic out of the news while the SS privateering is in progress.

        Greenspan's retirement in Feb. will coincide nicely in all the "HARD" financial "news".

        But a trial that last several months keeps it closer to the midterm elections. The trial will be fresh in everyone's minds and we can remind them of SS piratization.
