  •  So, where the fuck were they from 2001 to (0+ / 0-)

    2009?
You know, that time period when DickusCheney/GWBush&Co. doubled the total cumulative National Debt of the USA (you know, the residual Debt that has been around since 1776, doubled in just eight years ($5.4T to $12T+, and almost nothing tangible to show for it too).
St. Ronnie got away with the same trick (except he tripled the ND), noooo prob. Pappy did too. Such experts at "fiscal responsibility".

They really have a narrow focus on government spending, the deficit, and the national debt.

Very strange how quiet they were then, not a peep out of any of them, and they wouldn't listen when you told them either.
I know because I was busy even then pointing out to the proto-teabaggers what was really going on with respect to the National Debt (and the economy headed for disaster), and the substantial devaluation of the mighty US dollar too.
Their response: crickets...GWB & Crew could do no wrong (and Rove&Co told them they wouldn't cum in their mouths and they are still swallowing by the gallon and grinning about it).

In a way I was Tea Partier long before they even knew what it was, used to send long factual, referenced emails out. FuxNooz would light up their teevees, RW radio hour(s) would come on, and they would keep on drooling. I rarely bother any more.

    •  Bluefin - I don't agree (0+ / 0-)

There were many fiscal conservatives who were outraged by the explosion of federal government spending under W. However, it was the last Bush budget F2009 that first went over a $1 billion annual deficit and that was the budget that President Obama inherited for his first year. Since then the annual deficits have only increased so it's not surprising that the Tea Party came to be when the deficits went over the trillion dollar mark.

      "let's talk about that"
