    yes airlines and so forth buy oil to hedge their prices, but they do it for practical and real purposes, now tell me why places like Goldman lease out fleets of oil tankers, who do nothing but sit off countries coast.

    Speculation along with the weak dollar are to two MAIN reasons for this gas spike.

    Demand is down and inventories are full, so sorry, demand/supply doesnt cut it

      There is perceived risk that there could be further supply interruptions, SA has cut production, China and India demand still growing in double digits. The market is betting on prices going higher. They're probably correct.
