    Most seniors don't want their offspring to endure such  financial hardship as this.

    I think today's seniors will also reject this plan once they learn the truth about it.

    Also, there's been some discussion that shutting down Medicare, as the Ryan/GOP plan does, will cause a ripple effect throughout the entire Medicare system in that fewer and fewer doctors will accept Medicare as fewer and fewer patients are enrolled in it, making it difficult for seniors to find healthcare providers.

      seniors - at least those who are now on medicaid, or who may be on medicaid in the future. Medicaid is to become a block grant program, which means that states will have greater discretion as to how those funds are spent. The bottom line - poor seniors will get less care.
