When it comes to high gasoline prices, voters have a very long memory.

Obama's approach here. He had to know the easy money would cause gas prices to rise. What is the upside of all this free overnight money, again?

The Robber Barons of Wall Street get richer by the second and will make helfty donations to their political enablers. Didn't you know? A billion dollars at minimum is now needed to conduct a Presidential election these days.

Yet if gasoline prices remain very high by November of 2012, that billion dollars might just as well be a trillion dollars, for all the good it will do in reelecting President Obama. Furthermore, I think his political advisers are just figuring that out now; and thus, we now hear this "task force" rhetoric.

economy. Somehow. In lieu of more stimulus money which has been rendered 'politically toxic'.

I've said this many times: Because we don't manufacture much in America anymore (i.e. computers, televisions, clothing, sporting goods, etc.), the Stimulus Bill spurred the Chinese economy far more than it did our own. For that reason, it was not well thought out by our Democratic leadership. Indeed, U.S. infrastructure projects should have been key.
