    i mean, if your complaint is that even though the protest that was reported on was about the treatment of Bradley Manning, that the reason for the protest shouldn't be relevant to the article, then i think the WH has bigger problems, as it would seem that the WH is taking these exclusionary actions against the journalist simply because she filmed a protest - any protest - against the president. that implies that this WH can and will take exclusionary actions against any professional journalist filming any protest and reporting on it, and that's kind of the antithesis of a free press in a free country. i'm not sure President Obama wants to be thought of as being that secretive and authoritarian.

    otoh, if the WH isn't going to take this action against all protests, then the reason for the protests these actions are taken in response to is very relevant to the diary.
