    This is likely to play right into the hands of those wishing for a universal healthcare system.  With the last refuge from a predatory and unfair system now closing off, people will react and they will be enraged.  And the republicans will be backed into a corner; they will have to fix it somehow, or be politically destroyed.  This bill is outrageous and disgusting, but it also conforms for me what I've believed now for about 3 years: the pendulum is about to swing rapidly and violently in the other direction.  Republicans have lost their sense of perspective -- see how they are driving themselves into a buzzsaw over Social Security.  The effects of this bill will be immedately felt, and former Republicans who fall on hard times will turn on their party immediately once the truth is known.  So we have to start making the truth known.

    The correct phrase is "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." There is no crisis.
