    that the source did sign a contract, but as i posted below, it's very common for information like this to be leaked to the press. not knowing much about apple, i'm just guessing that they have a zero tolerance policy for any leaks, and at this point, they're a small enough company to be able to enforce such a policy.  

    the thing that disturbs me is the agressive action they took against the blogs. i know that they've investigated 30 apple employees, who would have had access to this info, but it seems the real reason they took action against the blogs is more to send a message. the unfortunate result may be that a precedence is set that may not be beneficial to bloggers.

    as for their supposed struggles in having to battle with a major competitor like microscoft, i just feel like, whatever, i really have no sympathy. they're both just money hungry tools. that apple has a warm and fuzzy exterior impresses me not.
