must be the rain.  It has soaked us for days.  I have heard about this happening to people who come here on vacation.  I didn't know it could rain like this here.  I planted my song of India just before it started so it is getting a nice soaking in.

I think about those two books (above) often.  I would love to re-read them.  They are probably as obscure as the Borrible series.  In those days I used to find places to get books I liked rather than word-of-mouth.

The two I mentioned I found in the library I used to go to.  I got so I never went any further than the display shelf and just took anything from there.  They were always winners.

The Borrible series I found in a supermarket I used to shop.  I don't think anyone else in the neighborhood read anything I liked because the shelf always had something for me.

Hope the pooch gets more comfortable.

one that I can do with my heart turned off.

I say this because I enjoy talking with you, 88kathy. But since I consider you a friend, I'd like to be fully present when we talk.

I've had an emotionally exhausting week, from big tragedies to many small hassles. I'll be okay, I just need to recharge my batteries.

I wish I could lie down in your garden, and let the rain wash me clean.

        Rumi quotes

Now I think ACIM was cribbed.  Oh well I still like it too.

it's sitting on my bookshelf back in L.A. I have half a shelf of religious/spiritual books, and even more psychology.

Much wisdom and poetry in Sufiism. Thanks for the Rumi: good medicine for a parched heart.

ACIM was the only thing I would read.

Yes Rumi.  I only heard of it a few days ago.  And the link in google

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

was exactly from ACIM.  Well I guess you would have to say from Rumi to ACIM beings Rumi was several centuries before.
