  •  I'll never forget the day I walked into a fabric (8+ / 0-)

store to get some fabric to make sheers.  I found the fabric that I wanted, and could not, to save my life, remember what I was supposed to do next.  Fortunately, my husband was with me and helped get me out of the store.

Or the day that a set of striped sheets just devastated me.  For some reason, I could not get the stripes on the fitted sheet to line up with the stripes on the top sheet and wound up in tears because I could not figure it out, nor could I understand why it was important to line them up.

I went from working the NYTimes crossword puzzle to being unable to do the one in the TV Guide.

I don't think that there is any physical symptom that comes close to comparing to the loss of cognitive function for a thinking person.   It's frightening as well as debilitating.

Hope your recovery continues - you have already made a great deal of progress if you were able, somehow, to put together this enlightening diary.  Congratulations.
